Empowering Women through Cooperative Management Training in Madi Municipality

Introduction: 

The empowerment of women through cooperative initiatives took a significant leap forward with the recently conducted Cooperative Management Training from January 24th to 27th, 2024, at Madi Municipality-6, Chitwan. The event marked a crucial step in enhancing the skills and capabilities of 18 women's groups within the Jwala Women Krishi Cooperative Ltd.

Training Overview: 

Jwala Women Krishi Cooperative Ltd. organized the training, with vital financial support provided by JCDS Nepal. The comprehensive training aimed to equip participants with the necessary tools and knowledge to efficiently manage their cooperative activities. JCDS Nepal, in its commitment to fostering community development, extended support by providing four essential types of accounts to each group within Jwala Mahila Krishi Sahakari Ltd. These accounts include Member Share Account, Savings Account, Loan Deposit and Recovery Account, and Meeting Decision Account. The strategic use of these accounts is poised to play a pivotal role in the effective management of the cooperative, ensuring financial stability and sustainable growth.


Community Presence:

The training session was graced by esteemed individuals, including the Ward Chairperson of Madi Municipality-6, Chitwan, the founder and Executive Director of JCDS Nepal, authorities from other cooperatives, and various dignitaries. Their presence added significance to the event, emphasizing the communal importance of cooperative development.

Expressing Gratitude:

A palpable sense of gratitude permeated the training session, with participants expressing their heartfelt thanks to JCDS Nepal for their invaluable support. The Ward Chairperson also extended gratitude, acknowledging the positive impact that cooperative initiatives bring to the community.

The Cooperative Management Training conducted in Madi Municipality stands as a testament to the collective effort towards women's empowerment and community development. With newfound knowledge and financial tools at their disposal, the women's groups within Jwala Women Krishi Cooperative Ltd. are poised to make significant strides toward sustainable and prosperous cooperative management.
