Amongst the myriad agricultural endeavors, goat rearing emerges as a cornerstone of livelihoods, offering a pathway to prosperity amidst rural landscapes.
Recognizing the pivotal role of goat rearing in bolstering rural economies, Jyoti Community Development Service Nepal (JCDS Nepal) conducted a transformative endeavor – a 2-day Commercial Goat Rearing Training from April 25-26, 2024. Held at the picturesque locale of Raksirang-8, Chamanti, this training aimed to equip local farmers with the knowledge and skills essential for thriving in goat husbandry. The program reflects JCDS Nepal's commitment to grassroots development. Drawing insights from meticulous on-field surveys and credible data sources, the organization strategically identifies areas requiring intervention. Raksirang-8 emerged as a focal point due to its reliance on agriculture and the potential for goat farming as a sustainable income stream. Led by seasoned professionals well-versed in the nuances of goat farming, the training delved into a myriad of topics essential for successful husbandry. Participants were equipped with practical skills spanning breeding techniques, nutritional requirements, health management practices, housing considerations, and effective marketing strategies.
