On January 2, 2025, the Jyoti Community Development Service Nepal (Jyoti Nepal) brought a wave of warmth and joy to the little hearts of the "Child Development Center," which is run through the joint effort of Jyoti Nepal and the local government school of the area. Located in the serene yet remote Raksirang Rural Municipality-8, Chamanti, Makwanpur District, Nepal, this center has been a beacon of hope and growth for the community’s children. The local government school is about a 2-hour walk for children through hills, forests, and rivers—a challenging journey, especially during the rainy season. Jyoti Nepal organized a special event to distribute warm clothes to the students of this center, ensuring they stayed cozy and comfortable during this chilly season.
The journey to Chamanti is an adventure in itself which involves a 1.5-hour auto ride from Manahari Bazaar, followed by a picturesque 1.5-hour trek through steep hills. The breathtaking natural sceneries of verdant forests and rolling hills accompany visitors along the way which makes the effort worthwhile.
This noble initiative was warmly received by the community. The locals, parents, students, and the school’s management committee expressed heartfelt gratitude to Jyoti Nepal for their thoughtful gesture. These warm clothes were not just practical for the children during the biting cold but also symbolized care and compassion from the organization.
Through efforts like this, Jyoti Nepal continues to illuminate lives and foster community development. The smiles of the children wrapped in their new clothes stand as a testament to the positive impact of small acts of kindness in creating a brighter tomorrow.
Together, we can bring change—one warm heart at a time.
