Introduction: 

On December 28, 2023, the JCDS Nepal Board Members, accompanied by Advocate Madan Thapa, undertook a significant journey to observe and monitor one of the branch offices located at Triveni Border, East Nawalpasari. The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into the ongoing programs and activities, strengthen collaborations with local authorities, and further the organization's mission to combat human trafficking. 


Meeting with Ward Chairperson:

During the visit, the delegation met with the ward chairperson of the Triveni Border area. The ward chairperson Mr. Umesh Karki, expressing his commitment to supporting JCDS Nepal, emphasized the vital role organizations like JCDS Nepal play in the region. He acknowledged that collaborations between non-governmental organizations and government stakeholders are crucial for achieving a common goal and purpose, especially in combating human trafficking.

The ward chairperson pledged his full support to JCDS Nepal, recognizing the organization's significant contribution to the community. He highlighted the importance of such collaborations, emphasizing that together, they can work towards the prevention of human trafficking and the protection of vulnerable individuals in the region.


Collaboration with Nepal Government Security personnel:

During the visit, the security personnel of the Nepal Government deployed in the border region expressed their commitment to collaborating with JCDS Nepal. Recognizing the shared goal of preventing human trafficking, the security personnel acknowledged the importance of working hand-in-hand with JCDS Nepal's staff members. This collaboration is seen as a crucial step in addressing the challenges posed by human trafficking and enhancing the effectiveness of prevention measures.


The visit proved to be highly productive, fostering collaboration between JCDS Nepal, local authorities, and government security personnel. The assistance received from Advocate Madan Thapa and the ward chairperson further solidified the organization's position in the region.The collaborative efforts witnessed during this journey reflect the dedication of JCDS Nepal and its partners in the fight against human trafficking.
